COVID19 Update 13th January 2021
PLEASE NOTE: Due to update guidance from The Pet Industry Federation and DEFRA on the definition of 'welfare cases', we have had to close Hurley's temporarily, until further notice.
Should your dog be experiencing pain from embedded nails, have a pelted coat or you have received support from a VET that grooming may be carried out, please get in touch with us so that we can assess your dogs and discuss the best form of action.
We apologise for any inconvenience caused and are on hand to help with any queries you might have.
Please be aware that we now have updated handover policies and all customers will need to adhere fully to all following points;
> Sadly, we are no longer permitted to allow clients in to the salon and all handovers of dogs are to take place outside the front entrance. We must stress the requirement for all customers to be wearing masks during this process and the importance of ensuring collars, harnesses and leads are secured during this handover.
Whilst advice implies that clients are to retain collars and leads, we consider this to pose a significant safety risk with being located so close to the road.
Therefore, as per our successful procedures back in May, dogs clothing will be sprayed down upon entering with a non-toxic antibacterial spray - Leucillin (also available to purchase from Hurley's). The same applies upon collection.
Please bear in mind that it is yet to be proven that Coronavirus can be transmitted from dog to person contact.
Only under extreme circumstances, one owner may be allowed in to the salon for handovers as long as a mask is worn.
> Payment will now only be accepted via BACS, sadly no cash will be accepted until further notice.
> Additional time has been accounted for in between appointments to ensure all equipment and work spaces have been cleaned sufficiently, using a SAFE4 disinfectant - successfully tested in it's effectiveness against Coronavirus.
> Appointments between each groomer will now be staggered to avoid multiple drop-off's. Please help us by keeping your distance from other customers if waiting for us outside and where possible, please wait in your car until given the OK by us.
> Workspaces in the salon have been moved accordingly to maintain a safe distance between groomers whilst working.
> Non-essential services such as teeth cleaning will not be carried out until further notice.
> We must stress that should you be self-isolating due to testing positive for Coronavirus, that you get in touch to notify us and arrange rescheduling your appointment. Please DO NOT attend your appointment if you, or anyone in your bubble are experiencing symptoms.
Supporting information can be found on the websites below.

To finish on a more personal note;
This year has tested each and every one of us and to witness my friends and their businesses suffer significantly through such turbulent times has been really hard to watch.
I've said time and time again that I've felt sincerely lucky to have a business with such supportive and loyal clients that have ultimately kept not only Hurley's afloat but have maintained an income for myself, Sophie, Lauren and Charlie.
We are confident that with the guidance we've been given, we can continue to work safely through this next lockdown and we thank you wholeheartedly for being so patient and flexible, too.
Thank you
